The Didjeridu, also known as the “drone pipe,” represents 1500 years of sounds and grooves originating from the heart of aboriginal Australia. Traditionally, the Didjeridu was played primarily as an accompaniment to ceremonial dancing and singing; today the Didjeridu is widely used in EDM and the electronica scene, not to mention healing. It is believed the Didgeridu was born in the Northern Territory of Australia, In particular, Aboriginals of the Northeast Arnhem land maintained a long unbroken traditional art of making Didgeridoos – an instrument that the Yolngu musicians of Northeast Arnhem Land call Yidaki.

The feature of this library is the high flexibility of using any vocal phrase, as well as the ability to mix it with other phrases regardless of the tempo and the key of your project. More than that, using any MIDI keyboard, you can instantly switch to any sung syllable. Additional Oneshot syllables located in a separate area on the keyboard make it possible to create an almost unlimited number of new musical phrases. To create this library we used a multi-hour studio session of three vocalists recorded with the help of Double Track technology in all tones and combined with each other using careful editing. Thus, the effect of a full-fledged six-voice chorus is achieved, sounding without any use of computer technology. It is also worth noting that in addition to the tube preamp, no processing was used all the way up to the final signal. This was done not to introduce additional transformations, but to allow the user to process the sound of each track at his option.
Frozen Percussion is our new series of deep sampled percussion instruments performed in unconventional ways to create infinite sustains, frozen in time. Frozen Crotales is our first instalment, a set of tuned orchestral crotales (also known as antique cymbals), performed with a cello bow. As usual, the instrument was programmed with ease of use in mind. Simply move the mod wheel while playing to smoothly morph between different dynamic levels. While the instrument may look simple on the surface, there is an advanced performance script behind-the-scenes, which allows for very responsive and expressive playing. When bowing a metallic instrument such as crotales, changes in dynamics are often quite slow since the instrument takes time to vibrate and resonate. Our performance engine replicates this characteristic by smoothly interpolating between dynamics. Additionally, when a note is played, the engine will gradually ramp up to the target dynamic. This is more realistic than a traditional ADSR attack, because it is morphing between real dynamic layers – not simply fading in the volume.
