Create Sophisticated Patterns with No Musical Theory Training Necessary. With Kinetic, you get the entire string section (solos or chamber) in one instrument (Violins, Violas, Cellos and Basses). You get a separate timeline for each section. Each timeline contains 64 note or rest events and can be divided into up to 4 “regions”. And you can have each timeline play a different pattern, section or articulation when you hold down a single note or chord! Choose from 40 fun-to-play pattern presets. And if you really want to get wild, you can choose any of the presets for each section separately. That means you could have the violins playing one preset, the violas play another, the cellos play yet another, and the basses play event another… ALL AT THE SAME TIME! And of course, any or all of these patterns can be edited. Kinetic Solo & Chamber Strings contains either 2 violins, 2 violas, 2 cellos, and 2 basses or solo violin, solo viola, solo cello, and solo bass. Included articulations are Spiccato, and Pizzicato. And each articulation can be “tightened or broadened”.

Solos of the Sea – Solo Violin B is a very simple solo legato instrument. This library explores a fairly specific sound: a loud, ff-esque dynamic with heavily slurred legatos. You can trigger even more dramatic portamento legatos by playing hard velocities on certain idiomatic intervals. In addition, this release also has same-note bow-change repetition samples which can be triggered by repeating notes with the sustain pedal pressed down. The library continues along the lines of the unfolding Con Moto series with ‘active-bow’ sustains and legatos recorded con moto (with motion). The latter is here expanded upon with a ‘pitch-memory’ adaptation, which helps minimize a musician’s susceptibility to timbral variation between sustain and shorter legato assets.
