In our constant pursuit to push the sonic and rhythmic boundaries of loops, we’re excited to announce the release of Everything But Sticks Vol 2. As the name suggests, this collection of grooves and samples was recorded using everything BUT drumsticks, utilizing items like mallets, brushes, spatulas, rods and yes, even goat hooves, resulting in a truly organic and unique soundscape of rhythm. Let’s be honest. 99% of the drum loops in existence use sticks. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but isn’t it time to do something different? This is why we set out to produce Everything But Sticks, a collection of loops and samples that take a new and fresh approach to grooves on the drum set. By using a wide variety of brushes, mallets, bundles, kitchen utensils and even our bare hands, we were able to pull out an entire range of timbres and dynamics from the drum kit that sticks simply can’t produce.

From the depths of the Mississippi Delta, to the shuffles of Texas, Blues Drums Volume 1 is the most extensive and authentic collection of blues drum loops and samples ever produced.
Drawing on inspiration from blues greats like Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Albert King, John Lee Hooker and B.B. King, we crafted six complete sessions featuring hundreds of loops ranging from slow 12/8 backbeats, swinging shuffles, dynamic brush grooves to driving, straight-eighth feels. Each session contains dozens of groove variations, fills, and transitions, allowing you to easily build a custom drum track in seconds. We also meticulously sampled every drum and cymbal on a multitude of kits (Ludwig, Gretsch and Slingerland), giving you incredible flexibility for layering and designing your own brush-based grooves.
