Steinberg TL Audio EQ-1 VST is a recreation of the EQ-1 valve EQ and features LF, LM, HF and HM bands of equalisation. It produces a warm, rounded sound typical of valve equipment, and a lovely gradual overdrive. The webage says its useful for whole mixes or elements such as solo instruments, vocals or snares… pretty much anything.
Steinberg/Spectral Design’s VoiceMachine – Real-time vocal pitch transformer units. VoiceMachine consists of two new real-time voice effect tools for VST. The VM Generator allows you to work with your voice in the same way that you would use an instrument. This way a layout for a backing choir can be created in minutes, reducing recording time to a minimum. The VD Generator creates up to 4 additional voices by simply triggering them via MIDI Note On/Off events in real-time. Your vocal arrangements can be easily played alongside your lead vocal. Just use your keyboard or draw in your MIDI note events in your favorite VST sequencer program. The VM Processor lets you either change the melody or simply correct the intonation by changing the pitch of a voice while maintaining its natural character.

A real mixed bag, this one, covering a huge range of styles and sounds. There’s a bit of almost everything, including various rock styles as well as Motown, Soul 2 Soul-style house, Latin, funk, reggae and even a Pogues-style stomp. While they are nicely done, with appropriate variation in sounds, some may find that this is covering too much in not enough detail. Only the most occasional dabbler in reggae, for instance, would be satisfied with just two performances in that style, however well they are done.
This is traditional R&B, not Destiny’s Child: most of the grooves here mimic classic ’50s and ’60s styles, from Stax and Atlantic soul through to electric blues, blues-rock and rock & roll. And, if that’s your bag, it’s very nicely done, with pleasantly crisp sounds and some funky playing.
Make no mistake, when we say Heavy Rock, we mean monstrous, head-banging grooves that will shake up your mixer and drive the vermin out of entire city blocks. Featuring all heavy styles and replete with impressive ride tom grooves and vicious double kick drum patterns that even the finest real drummer would be hard-pressed to match. Great for authentic-sounding drums in VST or creating your own drum loops.
