Microtape 17 features a selection of over 115 glissando effects made with a marimba. Most of these have been looped, and vary in length. Both looped and un-looped nki’s are included, with about two thirds of the samples played back at half speed (therefore an octave lower) at 3.75 ips.  For the 3.75ips set, every note from c0 – c6 is assigned a diff wav – configured in an nki as looped, and also in another nki as un-looped. The 7.5ips samples (different slices) range from f0 to c4. In both sets, the higher end of the range features some longer loops and  The microtape format also now has a 2 to 16 step tape echo sequencer, with adjustable volume and pan for each step. This can be tied in with the degrader controls on the main page, so that random pitch,amp and tone fluctuations can also affect each step of the echo (mimicking the effect of a true tape delay). This is quite realistic as the repeats are of course tape saturated samples. Full version of NI Kontakt 4.2.4 or 5.1.0 needed Also in 44khz 24 bit WAV format – perfect for Ableton Live etc

We have recorded each element with high-end gear (Rode NT4 mic + Nagra LB recorder) in high definition (88kHz/24-Bit), on several zones (except kicks) and always with 6 round robin samples. In total there are 4 kicks, 9 snares, 3 alto toms, 2 medium toms, 3 floor toms, 3 hi-hats, 8 rides and 12 crash cymbals. With our interface you’ll be able to mix the different elements and shape your sound with the ADSR envelope, compressors and the EQs.
