The Shakuhachi is an ancient Chinese bamboo flute that was later instroduced to Japan, with a distinctive warm body and thick harmonic character. Handy tip – layer up the static sustained notes with a staccato articulation, delay the static track by 50-100ms and allow the classic Shakuhachi articulations to shine through and add character!
