Alicias Keys v1.5.0 LiTE

This is a light version of the Alicia’s Keys piano library. The library is based on a very rare Yamaha C3 Neo Grand Piano, owned by Alicia Keys herself. The library has a quite warm and intimate sound. It sounds the best in the middle range of keys, but unfortunately has something weird going on with the release behaviour in the lower keys. It sounds great in Pop, R&B and Jazz contexts, but does a fine job in Cinematic pieces too. Since there was no update to the sample content, both the original v1.0.0 NKI as well as the v1.5.0 NKI are included in the release for convenience and backwards compatibility. The samples in the original release were in 24-bit 48kHz format. The samples were converted to 16-bit 44.1kHz and repacked into NKX containers. A null test results in a peak of -87dB, which won’t be audible at all. Also, after quite some testing, no issues were found with noise floor build-up when playing lots of notes. The conversion process takes the size down to 2.74GB from the original 6.98GB, which is a 61% reduction!

We’ve sampled a handful of top woodwind players at the Teatro delle Voci in Treviso. This is the third volume of our woodwind series: Francesco Lovecchio: Solo Oboe. Francesco Lovecchio is a skilled performer and he’s first oboe in many renowned musical projects in Italy and Europe. The Solo Oboe features more than two octave and a half range, 3 dynamic layers for sustained articulations, 3 true legato articulations (tongued legato, legato espressivo and legato immediate vibrato), 4 Round Robins for staccato. We provide you the ability to create your unique sound by mixing the 3 microphones positions (Close, Mid and Far). The script features our Articulations Editor which allows to precisely control each of the articulations included and create your own ones. The sampling was made with top quality gear: Schoeps microphones, Neve and Millennia Media preamps.

Michele Fattori is teacher of Bassoon at the Conservatory of Music “B. Marcello”, in Venice. He performed with many important directors like Sir S. Rattle, D. Barenboim, I. Fisher, P. Boulez, V. Gergiev, D. Harding, Sir C. Davis, B. Haitink, M. Jansons and recorded with famous labels as Deutsche Grammophon, EMI, Harmonia. The Solo Bassoon features more than three full octaves, 3 dynamic layers for sustained articulations, 3 true legato articulations (tongued legato, legato espressivo non vibrato and legato vibrato), 4 Round Robins for staccato. Simple like one of grandma’s cakes. Simple Cello blends the same warm, natural ambience together with the engine of Venice Modern Strings. While sampling Simple Cello we strived to achieve the core features that we would like to hear in this instrument: a singing, intuitive, intelligent legato with realistic transitions as well as a lively performed dynamic. We hope you’ll appreciate the minimalist nature of this library. Similar to Simple Violin, Simple Cello was sampled with just one true legato articulation with full sustain note after the legato in the magnificent hall of Pietro Pasquini in Crema. It features one staccato articulation as well as polyphonic legato and rebowing for added versatility and expressiveness.
