The Model D grand piano was sampled from a Hamburg-made 1939 Steinway D274 grand coda piano. This particular piano has been in use in various venues in Italy and has been played and praised by many top-level international classical and jazz players. This piano’s age definitely guarantees it the vintage moniker, nonetheless it went through proper maintenance and restoration over the years by highly-skilled italian technicians. It totally resonates with all of the great music played through it. We sampled this piece of history in a medium-size hall surrounded by a plethora of microphones.

In v 2.0 there are two Legato Mode “Ah “ & “Oh “ switchable by keyswitch , which will make it easy to change articulations including legato sound in real time.The keysitches includes staccato “Ah “ & “Oh. Release samples can be enabled/disabled with the ability to control their time and volume. Speed knob is provided to control sample offset – start of legato transition samples enabling user to control speed of legato. Vibrato is controlled with modulation wheel with the ability to control it’s rate with a knob. Legato function can be turned on/off in case of playing chords for example. A unique function of having double Clara performance is provided through a button called double where user can get double Clara performance with different samples, round robins, and mic positions. Attack time can be controlled for all samples in the legato patch as well as the phrases patch.

Electro Bass is a very simple software synthesizer built upon the Kontakt 4 sampler from NI. It is best described as an innocent flirt with the Electro genre – designed to be an inspiration when working on those big sounding, portamento-ish bass sounds. Is Electro Bass a one-trick pony? You bet! No sweet pads or trance plucks will ever emanate from this instrument. Nothing but the pumping goodness of bass. The structure is simple. There are two oscillator sections, each with three unique waveforms. Each oscillator has its own lowpass/hipass filter, there is one envelope for the volume and one envelope for a master filter.There are two effects: delay and a simple saturation effect to give the sound a rougher edge.
