One particular flavor of vintage compressors that clip beautifully, we have completely closed the Analog/Digital gap. SILIKA is not ‘close’, it’s not ‘different but just as good’. It’s ‘Sonically Identical’ to the types of hardware it’s modeled after. When you drive this plugin’s input, everything melts deliciously. In particular, the high frequencies lay back and spread out without getting edgy, or bright, or even the least bit ‘zingy’. It may get too grindy, but it won’t hurt your ears. Think Led Zeppelin IV’s hazy grunge, and you’ll start to get the idea. SILIKA owes its killer sound to an extraordinarily complex harmonic distortion generator, but operationally it’s a relatively simple compressor with a familiar feature set. All of its distortions are controlled with the Input knob, which can be switched and blended to taste. The resulting signal then gets passed to a compressor/limiter with 4 available ratios, standard Attack/Release/Threshold/Mix controls, and sidechain filtering options which, while simple, allow for a dramatic reshaping of the compressor’s behavior.
NOVA GE is a parallel dynamic equalizer. Appearing in the familiar layout of a parametric equalizer, the plugin also includes a full featured dynamics section enabling NOVA to cover an impressively wide range of applications. Be it a master lacking density, the drum bus asking for more crispiness, or a sibilance problem in your perfect take: NOVA has an elegant answer. A user friendly WYSIWYG drag and drop display paired with a classic “knob” interface gives quick and smooth access to the various parameters driving NOVA’s powerful signal processing. Elaborate equal loudness functions help finding the optimal setting without getting distracted by loudness differences. An extensive set of “Smart Actions” automatically generate sensible starting points according to the input; and further allow matching the spectra and dynamics matching of two different songs, approximating a pink noise distribution, or automatically finding and taming excessive resonances in recordings. NOVA GE includes a total of six dynamic EQ bands, each featuring high grade filters and independent dynamics processors being able to operate in linked, split, or various other configurations.
DeEdger introduces a new way of reducing the hardness of audio signals without negatively altering the original signal qualities. The plugin operates in a threshold free manner, thus can comfortably handle any input signal level, type, and dynamic range. Where other plugins might under or over process, DeEdger only applies processing if any hardness is detected. Once detected, the hardness will be smoothed with remarkable elegance. After its initial setup, DeEdger can be left in a “set and forget” configuration without further attention. Intricate time and frequency dependent mechanisms allow DeEdger to provide a very transparent process throughout. The initial concept, developed by a professional mastering engineer, focused on the demands of modern audio mastering and has also turned out to be equally useful for mixing.
Nest is a modular system which gravitates around the creation of MIDI. The basic ingredients are: 20 modules inspired by classic integrated circuits and today’s computer features, a clever voice to synth assignment, 12 patch scenes and a quad VST/Synth/MIDI Interface.
KrushPro includes our acknowledged bit-crusher processor, as well as a new ‘Wavecrushing’ distortion module, built upon an innovative wavesets processing algorithm. New timbral possibilities are also brought by the addition of a dual frequency shifter/ring modulator fx module and two input/output filters sections. Many modulations options have been added, and KrushPro is the first plugin with full stereo modulations capabilities. All the modulators are stereo, and every modulation slot has a stereo balance knob. Being able to modulate the parameters differently on the left and right channels brings something new to the table, and allow the creation of unheard stereo effects!
