M-ST is a quick and easy way of changing the stereo wideness of an audio signal or faking a stereo-signal from a mono audio. Just select what kind the input is and adjust the width of the signal – from mono to original or wider. Unlike a mono-stereo switch the channel separation can be continuously adjusted. Above 100% the stereo signal is spreaded with M/S techniques first and then additionally with filter and delay lines. The resulting signal is still mono compatible. A mono input can be turned into a fake stereo signal with similar technique. And the best of it all: this plugin is totally free !
Zeds Dead is a Canadian electronic music duo from Toronto, Ontario composed of Dylan Mamid, or DC, and Zach Rapp-Rovan, or Hooks. DC and Hooks have been producing music together since 2004, formerly as Mass Productions.[1] In the summer of 2007, they released one Hip-Hop influenced album as Mass Productions, entitled Fresh Beetz, before launching Zeds Dead in 2009.[2] The duo are currently signed to the record label, Mad Decent, and have released music on several others; much of their music remains bootlegged, unofficially released, or given away as free downloads. Their name “Zeds Dead” is a reference from a scene in the 1994 Quentin Tarantino film Pulp Fiction.
When we first started working on a fun ReFill based on the Stylophone we recorded it for sampling purposes: we sampled this little toy note by note. Besides programming a patch that matches the real thing we also tweaked the NNXT to go some extra steps. Some fat funky clavinet-style patches caught us by surprise. While producing the Stylofunk mini track (apart from the loop it´s entirely based on Stylophone samples) we added lots of extra cool stuff to this ReFill: a “single-sample-Rhodes”, a “single-sample-Piano”, a “single-sample-Kalimba” and a lot of other nifty stuff…
