With its rich textures and ethereal creepy sounds, ¨Gritty Trap¨ is one of the most dark, atmospheric, yet deeply obscure Trap genre. As you can imagine, sound design is a big part of this particular style, which relies heavily on layered 808 kicks, synth soundscapes, dark piano loops and deep distorted beats.

bassbomb is a monophonic bass synthesizer focused on creating a wide range of bass sounds from punchy to chunky via squelchy and fat with a sprinkling of dirt on top. It does everything from dubstep wobble, electro house dirt, funky bounce, breakbeat dirt, hip hop boom, acid squelch and more besides. As well as bass lines it’s also happy banging out kick drums and bass drops, with a pure sine sub osc to really nail that low end. It features custom waveforms, a composite filter and non-linear envelopes to give that old school synth sound, with 2 LFOs and 3 envelopes to really make stuff move around. Unison, oscillator sync, ring modulation and dirt all add to the flavour and a tempo-sync arpeggiator is the “cherry on top”.
This pack features a collection of trumpet, tenor sax, and piano over the chord progression Am F C E7. It fits a variety of styles and feels and all the licks fit over most of the chord progression, not just the key it is labeled with.
Octav8r is a 7-node pitch-shifter that generates 6 differently pitched stereo versions of the audio input added to a ‘dry’ non-shifted signal to generate a richly layered sound. Each node has its own volume envelope and variable state filter plus send controls to vibrato, chorus, delay and reverb effects. The envelopes can be triggered by MIDI, audio gate or looped in sync with the host tempo. The primary idea of Octav8r is to create multiple pitch-shifted layers of the incoming audio. With some twiddling you can get creative with panning to generate separation around the stereo field, use envelopes to bring each node in and out at different times and use chorus, delay and reverb to make each node sit differently in the mix. You can use the tempo-sync envelope trigger to create rhythmic gating or pulsing and the envelope toggles to make only some nodes modulated whilst others stay constant. Most controls have MIDI CC and MIDI learn support, so with some automation or MIDI knob twiddling, you can make the output really move around.
