Diva: Mastering Analog Synthesis

Diva models individual circuit components (you know? stuff like capacitors, resistors, transistors), not just overall behavior. This results in extremely accurate emulations of vintage hardware. It’s also the first virtual synth to use a modern circuit simulation technique, which models analog circuit behaviour with extreme accuracy. Did I mentioned already that this sounds very very good? Diva looks beautiful and perhaps pretty straightforward on the surface, but she can go very deep, and can be a little mysterious.. It’s really a musician’s synth, which means we want to adapt our mindset a bit when we come from a more ‘producer-like’ approach to sound design. That’s why I wanted to make this course, to teach you how to think about Diva and to show you how powerful this synth really is when we dive in. Atmos for DiVA

Atmos inhabits the space between the real and the fantastical. Bjulin’s work evokes the dimension, emotion and atmosphere of various scenes—like floating high above the clouds or standing at the edge of a mysterious forest. All 128 presets in this collection of arpeggios, leads, pads and ambient effects are permeated with a sense of space. Bjulin created the pure sounds to be sophisticated from the start, but applying Diva’s built-in effects thoughtfully, he manage to highlight each unique atmosphere and ambience. Atmos is especially well suited for ambient, chillout and downtempo music, but can fit easily into almost any of your music projects.

Genisys for U-He DiVA

Diva Genisys is a collection of 140 patches for U-He’s Diva synth. Its focus lies on modern contemporary analog sounds. Diva Genisys delivers lots of animated fluid arpeggios, dark basses and bass lines, lush ambient pads, distant evolving atmospheres, sci-fi FX’s, energetic pulses, modern analog synths with lot’s of expression and dark ominous soundscapes. Main influences can be attributed to Daniel Lopatin (Uncut Gems), Oneohtrix Point Never (Good Time), Ben Salisbury & Geoff Barrow (Ex Machina), Paul Haslinger (Neuland), Disasterpeace (It Follows) and a dash of Berlin type sounds in the vein of Tangerine Dream. Diva Genisys is fully NKS compatible, with tagged NKS presets and sorted in a Genisys subbank separating them from other Diva presets, also included are NKS audio previews, relevant for users of Komplete Kontrol hardware by Native Instruments. All presets leave a few dB headroom for the mix and there’s a PDF guide included describing how to install the set and where to put the NKS presets. Night-Time U-he DiVA

140 Synthwave presets for U-he Diva with accompanying ‘Night-time’ and ‘Junowave’ skins…and for the first time the pack includes the Ableton sessions and all MIDI featured in the demos – including title track ‘Night Time Diva’ featuring Matt Sky on vocals. To widen the sonic palette has collaborated with programmer and musician for supporting sound design and demo tracks ‘Fight at the Arcade’ and ‘Hurt and Heal’. Also synthwave producer ‘The G’ makes an appearance with some presets to fully round out the pack, creating a large collection of retro analogue presets sure to inspire new music.
