Introducing LIMINAL: VOCAL TEXTURES VOLUME 2, our second library of human vocalist samples – playable using the full version of Kontakt 6.7.1+. The library’s articulations are expressive and evolving, with the performer imparting character and movement into each sample. The performers were mic’d closely using large diaphragm condenser microphones, capturing breath and characteristic intimacy into each sample. The library is well-suited to add unpredictability and creative imperfection. The LIMINAL range is not intended for fast passages or soaring melodies. Instead, you may see the libraries as collections of naturalistic pads – offering humanistic details not found in something derived from a synthetic source. Several articulations have a strong focus on rhythm and synchronicity, taking advantage of Kontakt’s Time Machine Pro feature.

What is SEVEN? SEVEN is a versatile pads and atmosphere generator featuring seven layers capable of loading any of the 200 included multi-sampled sound sources. Its flexible playing modes allow for dynamic and evolving soundscapes by interchanging layers. By utilizing the provided key switches (F0 to B0), users can select and combine multiple layers simultaneously. All keys from C1 upwards are playable. The main GUI features a sound pool where icons representing active layers can be dragged to explore different sound sources. As layers encounter new sound category areas, their icons dynamically change to visually reflect the corresponding sound character, while retaining their original color for easy layer identification.
