Gospel Choir follows in the footsteps of our Anthem Choir series, bringing to life a performance style that is both deeply authentic and underrepresented in the sample library market. Recorded at Warm Studios (courtesy of Warm Audio) in Leander, Texas, this library features an extraordinary group of 15 talented vocalists. Each singer brings the passion and artistry they share with their congregations every Sunday, infusing every note with character, swagger, and soul. We captured three carefully selected vowels (and their respective alternate attacks) that we believe to be the most versatile across a range of genres. While initially designed with modern contexts in mind, this library excels in traditional genres as well, offering a distinctive character that sets it apart from conventional choir libraries.
Jazz Drums gives you the tool you’ve been waiting for to create genuinely swingin’ jazz tracks. One of the main features of SA!JD is that we conceived of a way to separately sample ride/hi-hat loops and authentic snare comping patterns to create truly playable variations in swing grooves. We’ve also included fills and other specialty loops, like kick-feathering, for example, to allow the composer to create truly genuine jazz drums tracks to use in his/her compositions. As well as a fully sampled set of drum hits, that includes such elements as rolls, triplets, snares on/off, side sticks, etc.

The instruments in the Mallets collection are recorded in the Netherlands, at the ‘Muziekcentrum voor de Omroep’, the national broadcasting center.The instruments we sampled are top class and have been used in many broadcast recordings and studio sessions for Dutch National radio and TV. Recordings were captured in a semi-close stereo configuration with Schoeps Microphones, Apogee pre-amps and converters, in a medium sized studio with high ceiling. The Impulse Response sample used in the instrument is sampled in the much-acclaimed Cinematic Concert Hall in Zlin, Czech Republic, where orchestral libraries Tutti, Vivace and Da Capo are recorded.

Chordless is a deeply-sampled Kontakt instrument built from the original 1981 Suzuki Omnichord. It offers authentic lo-fi textures, tape-recorded samples, and a comprehensive creative toolset designed for modern production workflows. Released in 1987, the HT-6000 came just as Casio was making a determined effort to carve out a swathe of the pro audio market. Machines like the CZ-1 phase distortion synth had already staked a claim, suggesting that Casio needn’t just be known for home keyboards; the follow-up FZ-1 sampler was a real eye-opener, offering 16-bit sampling at a shocking low price. Clearly Casio had serious designs on studio space – which makes the arrival of the HT-6000 all the more confusing. On the one hand, it boasted some truly impressive on-paper spec: four digital oscillators each capable of generating 32 different waveforms, plus analogue filters and decent modulation capabilities. On the other hand, it had built-in speakers and an overall vibe that uncertainly straddled the line between studio synth and home keyboard. Probably as a direct result of this, it failed to make a significant mark in either arena, and now remains something of a cult keyboard – largely forgotten, and all but buried under a landslide of DX7s and D50s.

Fission A is a new library for Kontakt 6 and is inspired by works of Hildur Guðnadóttir and specially her soundtrack for the outstanding HBO serie Chernobyl. This library is created together with the Fission B library for Omnisphere 2. Both use the same soundsources, but are meant to be complimentary. Ever since watching the first minutes of the Chernobyl serie I was drawn to its sound universe and I started recording and creating sounds for a project inspired by this. Now a few months further this has resulted in the Fission A and B libraries. I created 200 soundsources from recordings of an old cello, a bassoon, some flutes, a few bass guitars, a piano, from my guitars, from field recordings and sounds that I created within various synths. I mangled all the sounds to create a dark atmosphere.
