The piano we have chosen for this SampleSet is the Futura II, made by Nordiska Pianofabriken (Vetlanda, Sweden, in 1974). The complete SampleSet contains 713 individual 24 bit Mono WAV samples. The goal behind the Nordic Upright Piano is to capture the ring and dynamics of a good essential Swedish piano. This is a sampled piano that gives you freedom to place it in any ambient environment of your choice. The instrument was sampled in mono and the position of the close positioned microphone was changed per each octave. Then the piano was “re-built” in the digital domain by giving each string it’s own position in the stereo field. The result is a dry piano that gives you the flexibility to place it in any sonic environment you like.

This EZX features mix-ready sounds tailored for bright, metallic and progressive hard rock and metal. It was designed to offer a polarizing sound ideal to its sibling, the Duality I EZX. Both EZXs were recorded by engineer Jakob Herrmann (Evergrey, Raised Fist, Amaranthe) and drummer Alex Landenburg (Kamelot, Cyhra, Mekong Delta) during the same session at Top Floor Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden. Duality II EZX includes one full kit as well as a total of six bass drums, eight snares and a staggering range of cymbals. In addition to the sounds, this EZX also includes a custom MIDI library as well as a collection of presets engineered to provide different takes on the core kit along with creative hybrids constructed using the large pool of additional kicks, snares and cymbal content.

Multi layered sampling in 24 bits using highest quality preamps with ultra low noise gave it a super realistic sound. In this plugin the zanza do have resonant box as opposed to kalimba which does not. Also zanza has the buzzing piece of sheet metal on every playing rod. This creates subtle, high pitched buzzing. The kalimba has more mellow and clean sounds and they complement each other perfectly together.
