Steel pans is an extensive collection of beautiful Steel Pan instruments. Sampled from a full set of 55 gallon oil drums built by Bertrand Parris of Parris Pans and played by the Glissando Steel Orchestra, this instrument sounds really incredible and will be an essential addition to your collection. Twelve, individual steel pans have been methodically recorded by our team at Livingston Studios. The stereo pair of Neumann U87’s captured over 1000 individual samples of varying dynamics. Each velocity-hit, on each group of pans, was done with extreme precision by session musician and seasoned steel pannist Sara Loewenthal. The result is a truly phenominal sounding instrument with beautiful soft attacks and gently swelling harmonics.

This pack is a collection of 340 marching drum samples in WAV format, that can be looped, cut and joined with each other to make full drum tracks. They are all at standard marching tempo (120 BPM) and have been “ACIDized” for moderate tempo variation. These loops are suitable for use in any music production software/DAW. ‘Military Madness 2: Scottish Drum Corps’ is a complete set of rhythms identical to the original ‘Military Madness’ pack but with new samples of Scottish marching drums, which have their own distinct sound. This means that the loops and samples from both “Military Madness” packs are fully interchangeable.

OtoMarch is a VSTi that turns your keyboard into a marching army. It automatically shuffles different samples for a realistic stomping effect. The samples used were recorded in stereo, featuring a 24-person marching army. It has faders for basic EQ, reverb, and width. When you see the sign “Coffee-For-Plugin,” it means it’s a giveaway. Hey look, this one is! So it’s a cup of coffee in exchange for the plugin. Now… Marching army in music is cool. I did a track in 2006 called “Ixthus” which featured a dance-march sequence, it was cool enough. But I didn’t have those super-wide, crunchy samples to work with back then. All I had was a recording of 4 guys stomping, quadruple-tracked to eternity. Since then I’ve always wanted to create a marching army VSTi. After I made Otobongo, I thought, this could really work well with stomping. All I need now is an army.
