ADVANCE YOUR CONTROL

AKAI has one of the best MIDI control keyboards available today, and gear guru serves up some of the best tutorials on how to use these powerhouse controllers. See how to maximize its features and functions, as well as learn the included VIP Software Suite. Alex starts with an Overview of the Advance Keyboard and VIP software, and then walks you through installation. From there, Alex describes the Main Modes, especially the Global and Setup modes. Next, he explores the Browser Mode, one of the most powerful sections of the Advance Controller. Two other critical modes, Control Mode and Multi-Mode are then explored in detail.

Now AKAI Pro’s included VIP software gets the thorough treatment, with the next tutorial explaining VIP Tags. You’ll then discover Setlist Mode, and some great features from AKAI’s other hardware, such as Note Repeat and Arpeggiator. Finally, Alex demonstrates how to use the VIP software to control your DAW, and gives you a tutorial dedicated to Ableton Live setup with the Advance Pro.
