    Not worth downloading, since the sample installation of the Halo 2 sounds always fails! Error massage: no permission to write to the folder.
    I found no way to solve it…just crab!

    Have you tried running the .exe as administrator? What you’re describing sounds like a CRAB issue on your end rather than a launch problem.
    If you’ve already done that and it’s still the same, you’re trying to install the sounds in a folder you have write permissions for… that’s a Windows issue. If you try it again, let me know, and I’ll download it to test it.

    Thanks for the info.
    I tried it as administrator, which did not work.
    In windows i granted all permissions i could give to the folder i created but the problem always popped up again. Maybe it is just an issue with the plugin itself, so no complaints about the uploader!!!
    But anyway the first file of the Halo 2 content is down on all servers…

    I just downloaded and installed everything and I haven’t had any writing problems anywhere. Which expansion is it? Anyway, all the links have been re-uploaded!

    Thanks a lot for your effords, i really appreciate it!
    The installation of Halo 2 and of the expansion presets work just fine.
    But each samples.exe leads to the described problem: no permission to write into the selected folder…
    As said: i work as admin and granted any kind of access to everybody for the folder.
    Too bad…..i have no more ideas.

    The only thing I can think of is that… you might have some antivirus or Windows Defender activated that’s blocking writing… or that… or the manufacturer’s installer itself… has some bug.

    I think that 2 – HALO-2 SAMPLES.exe used a download method from the developer that they themselves have banned. So, here’s your answer. I just tested it and it says the same thing. This plugin is banned all over the internet.
