Playback++ is a local browser-based HTML audio workspace for single-track rehearsal, synchronized multitrack stem review, batch conversion, and selective export with fast pitch, speed, and track-level control. A focused browser-based audio workspace built for practical music and audio tasks without leaving a local web app. It supports single-track rehearsal, synchronized multitrack stem review, and batch export workflows in one place. You can adjust pitch, speed, volume, pan, mute, solo, track order, loop regions, and export targets quickly, with fast waveform interaction and selective rendering tools. The app is designed for local use, with direct export, Save As support when the browser allows it, and conversion workflows for mixed audio sources.

Although it was only tested in Windows, this app should work in all systems. For a stable experience it’s recommended to run PB++ with a local server instance. By default, easiest way is installing python and running ‘start_server’ .bat for Windows and .sh for macOS/Linux.

Playback++ is a modded and enhanced version of Hal Leonard’s Playback+ system offered in their ‘Online Audio’ service for ebooks. While Ebook owners could download media files from the books they purchased, PB+ has been kept an exclusive online function to be used only on the media they offered you and nothing else.

PB++ uses the exact DSP audiostretch model, with the difference it has an enhanced player that runs offline, can be used on any of your files of choice, on many at the same time, and you can export the modified audios taking account of specs such as format, KBPs/Bit Depth and Hz. Consider this release as an ‘Open-Core’ software. All componets are viewable and modifiable. There’s no obfuscation. It was always intended to make a straight to the point/as light and efficient as possible/transparent ‘program’, and this was the result. You can check the changelogs if you feel curious or find points to improve.

Future v1.x releases will fix anything broken found by you guys. v2.0, whenever it comes, will include a formants motor to avoid distortion on vocal tracks.
