Whilst microtuning additions have broadened this considerably, it can still be cumbersome to get all plugins and external synths in tune, until now… The MTS-ESP Suite equips composers with tools to get everything tuned quickly and accurately, as well as presenting entirely new compositional methods. Change notes or chords whilst they’re being played, transpose all instruments at once or morph into an entirely different tuning system – the possibilities are endless. The MTS-ESP Suite provides the computer musician with an intuitive toolset for rapidly composing and finessing microtonal pieces. The Ensoniq MR series of synthesisers was released in the mid 90s. A rack version and three keyboard versions were produced, all featuring a powerful synth engine able to create complex sounds consisting of up to 16 individual layers. To simplify operation, sounds could not be edited from the hardware, only via a software editor. This editor software allows the sound creation potential of the MR series to be unlocked using a modern computer, either running standalone or in any DAW supporting VST, VST3, AU or AAX plug-in formats. In addition to editing sounds, this editor features a bank manager for transferring and organising banks of sounds, a full performance editor (MR Rack only), a drum kit sound editor and the ability to send, save and recall insert FX presets and system parameter dumps.
The intent of the Fixed Filter Bank was to enhance the primary signal of the synthesizer, adding harmonics at specific frequencies or removing them at others. Some wanted completely new and never before heard sonic landscapes to push themselves and their audiences into new worlds of musical experience. Others wanted to create more traditional and familiar sounds, while still pushing the boundaries and making use of the new voltage controls, features, and character not available in a traditional “un-plugged” instrument. Some wanted both. Enter the new reimagined P915 MEDUSA Fixed Filter Bank. A filter which adds subtle or not so subtle resonances to the signal or removing frequency bands altogether. This process, when mixed in with the unaltered, “dry” signal, can mimic the actual behavior of a traditional instrument. It can also act on its own as a unique and creative source of sound shaping possibilities not available in other filter structures.
The valve distortion and saturation generators are based on the the W. Frank Custom Tube Desk circuitry from 1959 wich we brought back to life with my former company HE Studiotechnik. The W. Frank Custom Console is packed with huge transformers, clever valve circuits and passive filters. The new VSM-4 plugin is not a successor or update of the VSM-3 Mix Satellite. Sonically it stands for itself but it comes with all the useful features of the VSM-2 Mix Satellite plus some more new functionality for your Mix and Mastering needs of today.
The VSE-4 plugin is inspired by the musical sound of the VSE-2 EQ, but presents its own unique sonic identity, integrated in a highly flexible user interface concept. With a fully parametric and modular design and its unique Saturation and FM Drive controls, the VSE-4 provides precise and musical EQing with analog sound, as well as exceptional control over the nonlinear behaviour of the filters. This enables the creation of more complex frequency-based distortion effects. The nonlinear filter circuits have been meticulously tuned and digitally modelled to give each of the 13 filter types its own sonic character. Combined with the Overdrive module there are even more options to create rich overtones or heavy distortion.

Richter is a tectonic compressor, designed to achieve heavy compression with a minimal amount of artifacts. It is the result of many years of experimenting in the Klevgrand labs. Normally a heavily compressed audio signal gets distorted, often with a nasty “zipper noise” artifact because of how the internal envelope followers are engineered. The experiments led to a brand new approach resulting in a compressor that empowers you to squeeze every bit of sonic perfection out of your tracks. Use it for meaty mixes, punchy drums or smooth, transparent vocal tracks. Due to how the algorithm is designed, there are a few unconventional controls to tame Richter. First of all: one single parameter controls how much compression will get applied. The other (important) parameter controls how the internal envelope follower will react to transients vs continuous/lasting sounds. These two parameters make Richter a highly intuitive compressor where the user quickly will be able to dial in the wanted sound. On top of that there’s a boost switch that literally makes the amount span go to eleven. And, as the name suggests, earthquake levels are possible.
