Designed to mimic the “wa wa” sound from a Wah pedal. WF3607 features 6 modes of filtering effect taken from the familiar crybaby sound to synth-like filters. In the 1920s guitar players were fascinated by the “wa wa wa” sound made by trumpet players by opening and closing their mutes. Its filtering effect alters the resonance of the instrument and it feels to increase the expressiveness of playing. More than 40 years later, an accidental invention resulted in a device that forever changes the sound of guitar. This pedal eventually known as the Cry Baby*. Next, in the 1970s, an aborted synthesizer project resulted in an similar “wah wah” effect, which later known as Mu-Tron* III envelope filter. These two devices revolutionized almost every genre of music as we know it today.

There was a time when the echo effect was made using magnetic tapes, and among the many units that the industry brought to the market, one model shone above all: the Space Echo RE-201. This was by far one of the most used and still today is one of the most sought after tape echo units ever made. The new GS-201 Mark II is the evolution of a project we started back in 2008 with the release of the old version of GS-201. The purpose is to capture the magic of the Space Echo and make it available to all, right there, into the computer. Not an easy task, but the experience we gained during the last 10 years in audio DSP development has helped us reach a result that sometimes can fool even ourselves.

We are glad to present our next instrument for sampler Kontakt 6. This is a D-Hole guitar. These guitars are commonly used in Gypsy Jazz music, but they can be used in other genres as well. Thanks to its bright timbre, this guitar is clearly distinguishable in arrangements. For recording we used high quality microphones and piezo pickup system. Mics and piezo levels are controllable after the fact to give maximum sonic flexibility. Sketch D-Hole Guitar comes with a MIDI Pack. The Midi Pack includes 56 accompaniment styles and 45 Gypsy Jazz guitar licks.
