Sure, there are plenty of other great upright piano libraries out there, with their shining lacquer and pristine strings, but none of them ever captured the authentic beauty of a cheap, dusty, beat up, rusting, long untuned upright piano. This is the kind of upright you remember from your grandma’s house.
The Lows is a vast collection of taped analog bass synth kontakt-instruments. Therefore, it covers most of our low-end needs. The first 3 banks on the taped synth are sinus-based patches. We use it for the sub fundamentals and for building low-end on any kind of track that needs an immediate feeling of warmth. The other 7 banks on The Lows are for a little more characteristic sounding. Here are some saw waves, some ”left-field” tape-based instruments. From sinus-based saw waves to adding Low’s on any track you like to be beat-oriented.

Nodal is a bass library for Kontakt that features not just standard shorts and longs, but focuses primarily on rich, deep bass textures and vibrant patches. Musicians were instructed to evolve each note timbrally, providing a fluid, forward-moving feel. Two of the basses dropped the lowest string an octave, reaching unprecedented depths in bass notes.

A Rogers Holiday 1968 set, recorded through a collection of vintage mic and ribbons, Neve and Trident preamps. A vintage drum set recorded in a 80m2 sounding recording studio with one of Norways most renowned drummers, Børge Fjordheim. Two distinct signature effects are included in the patches: The MPC BEAT and the AMPEX601. They sound remarkable on their own, but adds a very cool edge when mixed in with the other signals. With multiple dynamic layers, options, RR variations and mic positions, it’s easy to make this set sound great in any style, with probably any kind of beat. Mic positions and recording chain has been fine-tuned throughout a decade of recording drums in this room. Integrated channel-strips in the track-mixer allows you to dial in your desired sound and route signals to individual DAW tracks
