It seems that in the downtime between service as a musical instrument, this particular organ also served as a home to countless little critters who left their mark all over the interior. There it sat in our old Sand Creek studio until we got it working just long enough to unlock some of its musical mysteries. In order to capture all of the character of this vintage treasure, we recorded two microphone positions: up close and room. Sandy Creek Organ includes six different sustain types (two of which feature a rotating Leslie speaker), each with round robin and releases, as well as a variety of sound effects. As always we have included a selection of carefully crafted ambiences and creative FX presets to help jumpstart your creative juices. The actual Thomas Monticello we recorded may have reached its last stop, but it will live on forever as our Sandy Creek Organ.

Since release The Blue Zone Series instruments found their way into a number of high profile projects… Most of the sounds in the series have been created from scratch using unusual combinations of custom tube hybrid equipment, experimental analog circuits, tape delays, ring modulators, vintage analog gear and test equipment. These sounds and textures in this series are mostly but not exclusively aimed at Ambient, New Age and Sound Score genres. Each instrument is presented with a basic subtractive synthesizer interface permitting the user to further tweak the sound to suit his needs.
Our library is a new generation of Irish Low Whistle with incredible playability and realism. Low Whistle was created with legato techniques. The low whistle, or concert whistle, is a variation of the traditional tin whistle/pennywhistle, distinguished by its lower pitch and larger size. It is increasingly accepted as a feature of Irish traditional music. In both kinds of music the low whistle is often used for the playing of airs and slow melodies due to its haunting sound. However, it is also becoming used more often for the playing of Irish jigs, reels and hornpipes, it being easier to produce some ornametations on the whistle, due to the size of the finger holes. The most common low whistle is the “Low D”.
