In the mid-to-late ’80s, death metal was a peripheral genre of underground bands. Then, by the early 1990s, acts like Death, Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse and a handful other US bands predominantly from the Florida and East Coast areas started gaining traction. At the same time on the opposite continent in the UK, the likes of Carcass, Benediction and Napalm Death advanced with their own breed of death. On the other shore of the North Sea, in Scandinavia, bands such as Entombed, Therion and At the Gates all added their own blend to the mix. By then, the rest of the world had caught on and death metal as a phenomenon was a fact. Ever since, trends in heavy music have come and gone, but death metal has stayed its course and stood its ground. Arguably no genre has evolved in a more organic way, with a constantly rejuvenating fanbase and steady increment of bands. Today, although fragmented and more of an umbrella to a host of sub-genres, death metal has never been more alive.

Yamaha Hybrid Single Hits Pack MULTiFORMAT

The Single Hits Pack is our simplest sample pack which is suited for people who do not need multiple velocity levels. This pack includes up to three velocities of each articulation and is ideal for working with drum machines such as the Akai MPC60 or iDrum. This pack contains all the different articulations of the kit recorded and mixed to an extremely high standard. All the samples have been mixed from a combination of the individual drum microphones and where applicable the overhead and room microphones. We have included templates for working in the latest versions of Battery, Kontakt, EXS24, Maschine, Geist, Studio One Soundsets, Ableton Drum Rack, Reason Refills, Renoise and idrum but the samples can be loaded into any DAW, sampler or drum machine that can load up WAV files. We have also included multiple MIDI maps for Addictive Drums, BFD, iMap, Slate Digital SSD4, Superior Drummer, V-Drums, Yamaha DTX900, General MIDI and Drumit Five.

1970s RBR Dub Kit Multi Velocity Pack MULTiFORMAT

The Multi-Velocity Pack adds the highest level of realism a sample pack has to offer, and is designed for those who do not have Kontakt 5 or do not need the Kontakt Interface. This pack contains all the different articulations of the kit with up to 16 different velocity levels providing 400 samples to choose from. All the samples have been mixed from a combination of the individual drum microphones and overhead microphones. This pack can be loaded into any DAW, sampler or drum machine. To make things easier we have included patches so that the samples will automatically load into the latest versions of Battery, Kontakt, EXS24, Maschine, Geist, Studio One’s Impact, Ableton Drum Rack, iDrum, Renoise, Reason Refill packs and the free sampler TX16Wx. We have also included over 500 MIDI loops covering a variety of genres that map to the default MIDI map.
