Glacier is a granular synthesizer for creating ambient pads, drones, and evolving soundscapes. It transforms audio into continuous textures using a three-layer granular engine. This is a standalone software, not a DAW VST plugin. That means that you can record/export audio files and then drop into your DAW, rather than use it as an actual plug-in. Core Technology:
– 3 Audio layers
– Each layer operates independently with its own audio source, granular parameters, and processing chain.
– Harmonic Scheduling Algorithm
– Uses harmonic series timing to create musical, resonant patterns. Grains are scheduled using harmonic ratios for smooth, evolving textures.

Window Functions:
– Three window types for grain envelopes:
– Smooth (Blackman): Smooth, predictable curves
– Ethereal (Gaussian): Bell-shaped envelopes with smooth tails
– Harmonic: Exponential curves for pads
– Each layer can use a different window function.
