With Riva, you can create a random drumkit with the press of a single button and/or randomize all aspects of each of the five distinct drum sections individually. Riva features 635 factory drumsounds spread across five sections (kick, snare, claps, hihat and percussion). These five sections feature four layers each, which can have completely different settings and samples and can be played back in various ways (random, cycle, velocity and stack). Furthermore, Riva features two onboard reverb units and master effects, like “flair” which creates interesting sounds by using tuned delay tables as well as master compression, drive and tape saturation. Last but not least, you can easily import your own drum sounds via drag and drop!

Welcome to the continent of the Great Bear. Russian Masters is a CD-ROM for the Emu family of Emulator IVX, EIV, E64, E6400, EIIIX, ESI-32 and EIII samplers which incorporates 80 banks of digital instrumentation from the former Soviet Union and parts of Asia. These folk and ethnic acoustic instruments were recorded by Martin Kiszko from the U.K. The 600 megabyte CD-ROM includes looped and unlooped versions of many of the instruments. In addition, all solo instrument trills were recorded in half-step intervals, so when playing more than one note, you will hear the real trills (no digital pitch shifting at any interval).

The Accordion is capable of producing four timbres for the right keyboard (namely piccolo, concertina, clarinet, and bassoon), as well as two bass registers for the left. The library lets the player select a single timbre or to combine multiple timbres using any of the available 15 registers, just like a real accordion does. The dynamics of the instrument changes in accordance to the timbre selection which allows for a very natural-sounding performance. Recorded On Analog Tape At Electrical Audio

The drums were sampled at Electrical Audio, the legendary Chicago recording studio owned by renowned engineer Steve Albini, and one of the last recording studios to primarily use analog tape as a recording medium. The samples were captured using high-quality digital converters, then passed through the immaculately-maintained Studer A820 tape machine at Electrical Audio for authentic tape character.

Unique 3-channel sample player & sound design tool from Si Begg, based entirely on modular sources EXTREME MODULAR ENVIRONMENTS is an amazing and unique sound design tool that allows you to quickly and easily create dense and complex ambiences based on modular sources, ranging from musical pads through to extreme sounds to give you almost limitless sound design capabilities. Many of the sounds are from the creator Si Begg’s personal library of sounds and have been used in trailers, scores, and other compositions. The sounds used were intended for use in a wide variety of projects, but broadly speaking they are particularly suited to cinematic or experimental music where you need something atmospheric, rich and with a contemporary feel. At its heart, EXTREME MODULAR ENVIRONMENTS is a 3-channel sample player, with each playing a sound and with its own set of dedicated effects. For each channel you can control the pitch, Sample Start point, amplitude / filter envelopes, saturation and reverb send. All three channels are then mixed together and put through master high pass and low pass filters, then finally a limiter.
