The EK470 mark2 is a lucky bag. Although its sound source is a low-cost, garbage toy keyboard for just 25 EUR, all the sounds are incredibly warm and charming. You can lose yourself just playing along with the analog sounds, being inspired by its character and possibilities. Beside that, the graphical interface is also worth mentioned which make you turn knobs and switch buttons. Content: The structure of EK470 mark2 is based on 2 simultaneous sound slots, each can be feeded with every of the 24 sounds and has separate volume and pan knob. Beside that, the first slot provides an additional -12 to 12 semitones pitch knob. We selected the best 24 sound patches out of 99 available patches the original keyboard provides. We recorded every third minor note, looped the sound and processed it if needed.
This project was born due to the lack of samples taken in natural environments and with natural reverb. The sample Materials of this product have been taken at the Grebbestad Church. The sounds are in Giga, Kontakt and/or Halion.
Random 100M – Over 3 minutes of controlled chaos from the Roland System100M modular synth.One 3 minute wav mapped across 5 octaves with random sample start – never play the same sounds twice!Recorded hot through 1960s valve pre-amps onto one-inch tape (into the red). With 5 token presets, this isn’t designed as a synth, like Tronto for example, but as a player, with a virtual tape machine running all the time beneath the engine. You have 3 types of control (via the ‘Degrader’) over tape damage – via filter,amplitude or pitch, with a tape speed slider as well, so Boards of Canada style sounds are easily obtainable, or you can set the controls to zero to bypass the effect.
The history of the organ in the church of Forcalquier is very turbulent and only a part of the material remained from the baroque period, from the original organ. Most of it comes from a 19th and 20th century restorations. The cathedral in a small and picturesque French city called Forcalquier had a small organ with 9 stops built by Pierre Marchand in 1627. It is said that during the time of the Revolution, the church and the organ served for the embellishments of the feasts of the new regime. In 1803, the Christian worship was restored in the church. Half a century later, Prosper Antoine Moitessier rebuilt the organ completely, reusing also the ancient material.
FK1 Kontakt instrument is a virtual Korg[1] Mini-Pops 7 analogue drum machine from the 1970s. This machine was also branded as the Univox SR-95[2] and Contessa Mini Pops. As a top-of-the-range model it featured 15 sounds and 20 rhythms. The drum sounds were produces using inductor coils (sometimes referred to as tuned tanks) and gave a lovely warm sound. The rhythms could be combined with each other to create new patterns, indeed this is how Jean-Michel Jarre — probably the most famous user of this machine — created the rhythm for Oxygene part 2.
