Microtape 17 features a selection of over 115 glissando effects made with a marimba. Most of these have been looped, and vary in length. Both looped and un-looped nki’s are included, with about two thirds of the samples played back at half speed (therefore an octave lower) at 3.75 ips.  For the 3.75ips set, every note from c0 – c6 is assigned a diff wav – configured in an nki as looped, and also in another nki as un-looped. The 7.5ips samples (different slices) range from f0 to c4. In both sets, the higher end of the range features some longer loops and  The microtape format also now has a 2 to 16 step tape echo sequencer, with adjustable volume and pan for each step. This can be tied in with the degrader controls on the main page, so that random pitch,amp and tone fluctuations can also affect each step of the echo (mimicking the effect of a true tape delay). This is quite realistic as the repeats are of course tape saturated samples. Full version of NI Kontakt 4.2.4 or 5.1.0 needed Also in 44khz 24 bit WAV format – perfect for Ableton Live etc

Boxer is a punchy alt rocker with a boxy edge. It has an unpretentious direct sound with alt rock and pop written all over it. A solid kick, toneful toms, and three snares cover plenty of ground, each snare giving the kit a completely different feel. The kit works equally well for laid back grooves or fast and frantic flurries.  The kit was sampled at Sing Sing South studio in Melbourne, Australia, in a mid-sized tracking room, though a Neve desk, with the usual assortment of high end hand-picked mics, and processed with select outboard pieces. The kit has been mixed with an indy production in mind, if you want to take the mix further there is plenty of scope to put your stamp on it.

‘Progressive House Kontakt Construction Kits’ is a collection of the finest sounds built into a unique and compact Kontakt instrument. There are six patches (three for Kontakt 4.2.3 and three for Kontakt 5.0.3) and each patch contains 10 Construction Kits and 10 packs of one-shot hits and sound effects. Each kit contains about 100 MB of pristine quality loops that can be combined and played back in sync within your DAW environment. There are eight full editable effects. Another very useful feature is the inclusion of trigger keys. Trigger keys are certain notes that turn the effects on or off as long as they are held down. Trigger keys are C7 to C8 on your keyboard with C7 matching EQ, D7 matching Phaser, E7 matching Distort etc etc. Also, Reverse mode can be triggered using B6. There are also 10 preloaded presets included and a Macro section that allows you to assign the 9 knobs to any control, so you have direct access to them from the front panel. This is very useful if you want to automate certain controls in real-time. All of the WAV samples are unlocked so you can use them without having to load up Kontakt if you desire.
