What’s EVE? EVE stands for Electronic Vintage Ensemble, which suggests the design philosophy behind the instrument. EVE was made to recreate in the virtual world of softsynths the exciting and immediate experience of the early age of electronics in pop, rock and jazz music from the 1960’s and 1970’s. During this creative period in music history, many musicians started to employ the innovative sounds of the ‘electric keyboards’ which were newly available for use on stage and in the studio: Rhodes electric pianos, Hammond and Vox organs, Hohner clavinets, strings machines such as the Arp Solina string ensemble, Moog synthesizers, and all those that are now considered ‘classics’. It was not only keyboards that were a part of this revolution in popular music: the use of effects and recording techniques for layering, blending and manipulating sounds transformed the way music was produced and conceptualized. Tape based delay lines, rotating speaker cabinets, guitar distortion pedals, wah wah, phasing, flanging and other effects became an integral part of the process of sound design.

At a time when Bob Moog and others were pioneering the concept of voltage control for oscillators, filters, amplifiers, and more, Bob Moog again broke the mold and conceived a fixed filter bank; no voltage control! This was not an equalizer although it had certain visual characteristics of one. No, the intent of the FFB was to enhance the primary signal, adding harmonics at specific frequencies or removing them at others. This was a time when musicians and engineers were struggling to come to terms with the new synthesizers charging across the music industry and how to employ them in the composing and performing world.
Memorymode is based upon one of the very best-sounding polyphonic programmable analog synthesizers of the 80s – the legendary Memorymoog synthesizer. Released in 1982, the Memorymoog raised the sonic bar with its lush, powerful analog sound. Memorymode was expertly modeled upon a vintage Memorymoog originally owned by jazz legend Chick Corea. It expands upon the original without compromising any of the sound or functionality that made it great, and does away with the reliability, maintenance, and tuning issues of the original. The user interface has been streamlined and simplified, updating the original instrument’s numeric-keypad-and-command-numbers with fast, simple-to-use pop-up menus and an improved value display window.
Polymode is inspired by the groundbreaking Moog Polymoog synthesizer. One of the world’s first polyphonic synthesizers, its unique multiple parallel filter implementation and mod routings give it a sound like no other synth. And though the original Polymoog sounded incredible, it could be challenging to operate and was prone to breakdowns. Cherry Audio’s Polymode sidesteps all of the drawbacks of the original instrument and massively expands its capabilities. With a streamlined user interface and immense modulation capabilities, Polymode sets a new standard for animated, sonically evolving string, pad, and choral tones.
Rackmode Signal Processors is a bundle of seven virtual effects and an instrument plugin that replicate the classic rack-mounted Moog Signal Processors of the 1970s and ‘80s. This exclusive collection is the first time this entire line of renowned analog treasures has been recreated as virtual effects. Rackmode also marks our latest collaboration with award-winning synth designer and DSP legend Mark Barton (MRB), who modeled the circuit-precise emulations based on the original rack-mounted hardware.
‘Renascence’ is an exploration into interstellar sound design inspired by the sound of Stephan Bodzin, Mind Against, Artbat and more. Expect to find an arsenal of high quality, analogue crafted Sounds and Loops including shimmering Synth Lines, energetic Drum Loops, evolving Basslines, analogue-rich One-Shot Drums and authentic FX. Using a wealth of analogue Synthesizers like Moog Mother 32, Moog Sub 37, Arp Odyssey and high-end outboard gear like our Chandler Limited Rack Mixer Sound Designers were able to create the highest quality possible. All 220 WAV files are Key and Tempo Labeled at 125 BPM and exist in a Dry and Wet Version and with or without Sidechain Compression.
