In order to appeal to every user and everyone, we made the plays in a very amateur way. Since we received some suggestions in Dede Sound v2, we had to take this issue into consideration and decided to make the recordings in an amateur way.
The Tonehammer High School Drum Corps is a unique library focusing on capturing the powerful, tight sound of high school marching drum corps. Notice the tight, harsh, mid-tones and truncated snap of marching drums. It’s quite distinct from the solid, pleasing punch and smooth resonance of typical rock and symphonic percussion. Rather, it’s meant to be heard loud and clear from a great distance away.Mike was a percussionist back in high school. He returned to his old alma mater 14 years later to capture the feeling and sound of playing in a high school marching drum corps for this library. We decided to record indoor and outdoor versions of the drum line to provide the user with a little more freedom. The goal was not to simply capture the sound of watching a drum corps, but to create the feeling of actually being in the drumline yourself, all the way from rehearsal to the big game. The indoor version was recorded in a wood, tile and fabric surfaced rehearsal hall. The outdoor recordings were done on the football field, so there are occasional stray elements buried in the sound from passing pedestrians and onlookers.

All of the samples in this library were performed by Rekevics on vintage Selmer Mark VI saxes, and each instrument was sampled chromatically over its full range. The sustained patches (vibrato and nonvibrato) have four Velocity layers each; most of the others have two.

Abstract is a steel percussion library like no other. Recorded in exceptional detail and performed with a range of sticks, mallets, bows, this wonderful library features a range of energetic hits and abstract effects. The library was performed by world class percussionist Joby Burgess, who is known for his virtuosic performances across blockbusters such as Black Panther, Mission Impossible, Alien and many more. The library was recorded by Emmy nominated engineer Nick Wollage, who has recorded iconic soundtracks such as Solo: A Star Wars Story, Wonder Woman, How to Train Your Dragon and countless others.
Alpha Organ features a beautifully sampled pair of pipe organs recorded individually and together at St. Paul’s Church in San Francisco, CA. Each organ offers a distinct contrast to the other and when the two are played simultaneously in unison, the sound is glorious. We’ve captured both instruments individually and together in unison, with multiple microphone types and positions to offer you a variety of aesthetic options. The “lower” organ, built by Kilgen Church Organ Company of Saint Louis, MO, was originally water-powered, but has since been converted to an electric blower-driven system. The console is in the south isle near the side entrance and its pipes are hidden behind the altar with the blower and machinery under the floor of the Apse, allowing the lowest pedal notes to resonate through the floor, seeming to shake the very foundation. The upper organ, far larger and more elaborate, was built by the Felix F. Shoenstein & Sons Organ company of San Francisco. It is arrayed high above the portcullis and Narthex in a mezzanine between the two bell towers. Where the first organ – our “Alpha” Organ – is sweet and silky in its tone, the second – our “Omega” Organ – is thunderous and mighty in its body and energy, with a more powerful blower, larger console and many more pipes.

Both new vocalists include the same gamut of chromatic sustains, staccatos, and legato as well as a vast plethora of phrases and Custom FX presets. Voices Of Rage is an aggressive death metal, hardcore and metalcore vocal library that combines awesome vocal performances, powerful word and lyric building systems, tempo-synched phrase step sequencing features, multiple mic types, rack multi-FX and tons of cutting edge content and capabilities. It explores the raw, brutal and guttural vocal style that death metal is known for, in all of its roaring, screaming, hissing and screeching glory. We recorded vocalists Evan “Severed” Seidlitz, Alecia “Mixi” Demner (Stitched Up Heart), Jason Kocol (Impaled) Aaron Boynton (The Sky We Scrape), and Redouane Aouameur. Each singer offers their own unique style and technique, giving you options to work with a broad range of metal sub-genres. We pushed them to their absolute physical limits to build a massive array of fully playable lyrics. The huge Wordmaster dictionary includes 100 words, covering a variety of nouns, pronouns, verbs and adjectives. Each word was chosen to create an effective lyrical toolbox, with sustaining and staccato variants – in both guttural death and acidic screaming tones. We also recorded hundreds of live micro-phrases that can be assembled into your own songs using our phrase step-sequencer and tempo-synched, stretched, layered and blended in all manner of ways.
