The Vintage Upright sound library features a carefully sampled Östlind & Almquist piano, a classic Swedish brand dating back to the late 1800s and widely known for its quality, craftsmanship and heritage. This instrument was built in the 1930s and captures the essence of the timbre in a well-built upright piano. The frail, silvery treble, the bright, distinct mid range and the focused, round bass, all painstakingly captured in a world-class studio facility. EZkeys Vintage Upright contains the same software, functionality and extensive MIDI library as the other EZkeys titles.
Hundreds of years after the likes of Chopin, Bach and Beethoven first wrote their masterpieces with ink on paper, they’re still awed, interpreted and performed on stages around the world. More so than we may think, their shifting dynamics, compelling harmonies, tonal narratives and complexly layered arrangements have played a profound role in how popular music is composed. For this EZkeys MIDI pack, we’ve retraced the steps of the masters to come up with a collection of EZkeys MIDI that, rather than paint the full scope of a sonata, serves you with manageable and songwriting-friendly building blocks. Use these as springboards to add new harmonic colors to your creative palette or simply as rhythmic and tonal inspiration. With four of the main epochs – baroque, classical, romantic and contemporary – covered, this EZkeys MIDI pack gives you a wealth of different motifs for anything from the grand, epic and imposingly majestic to the delicately sheer and hauntingly frail.
Just like will can move mountains, sometimes the smallest songs end up having the biggest of impacts. There is something to when someone lays everything on the line, pours their heart out and without bells, whistles or extras delivers a raw, unfiltered message backed up by nothing but a candidly played instrument. This EZkeys MIDI pack picks up where the first Acoustic Songwriter EZkeys MIDI pack left off. It continues to explore the wealth of inspiration found in the world’s amazing collective of singer-songwriters that have perfected the art of scaling down but still managed to make music that sounds larger than life. Prepare for a collection of melancholic, intimate, subtle and toned-down EZkeys MIDI, ready for you to mold into your own. For your next songwriting session: plug out, zone in, think big – and write small.
