The Twisted Kit was designed and sampled by Michael Blair, a percussionist with a highly personal instrument set-up, most known for his work with Tom Waits, Lou Reed and Elvis Costello. It was recorded at the Toontrack Studio and comes with a massive collection of percussive elements. This EZX crosses over boundaries of genres like industrial, blues, ethnic and orchestral to form a unique collection of replacement percussion that should add a new flavor in any songwriter’s creative palette. Welcome to the world of Twisted Kit, where there is nothing remotely odd about having a duck call as an alternative cowbell, mounting the hubcap of a car on top of your snare or having rototom frames form a tonal hi-hat.
Toontrack EZdrummer 2 has changed the virtual drumming game yet again. This software instrument is absolutely mind blowing and veteran studio guru Todd Tatnall is going to show you all it can do, taking you from installation and setup all the way to creating your first song! Todd begins with an introduction to EZdrummer 2, going over what it is and discussing what you’ll learn throughout the series. Next, it’s on to Installation and Registration, and then an in-depth look at the Standalone version of EZdrummer 2. Exploring the Interface is next, and you’ll see how to load basic drum kits, audition drums, change individual drum sounds and modify them. Todd now goes deeper into EZdrummer 2, explaining How to Browse and Audition MIDI Grooves using the Browser and Search Pages, as well as How to Use the Grooves from Expansion Packs. Play Styles and Power Hand are then looked at in-detail, showing you how to adjust the grooves and kits for nearly infinite variations. The Song Track and Song Creator are then revealed, allowing you to Custom Build your New Drum Parts for your songs with ease and realism.
The Blues EZX comes with two complete kits; a 1970s Gretsch and a calfskinned Swedish Levin set from the 1940s. On top of that, it features contemporary Paiste and Sabian crashes, vintage Zildjan A and K series cymbals as well as extras such as a suitcase and a set of calfskinned tambourines. All instruments were handpicked and in many cases road-worn by the sampling drummer himself, a blues musician with decades worth of experience behind the kit playing the blues. It was recorded in an empty Swedish theater and later mixed in a high-end studio through vintage and modern outboard gear. The end result is a cross-pollination between new and old; warm and characteristic sounds that cover the whole range, from old school to modern, from dry to ambient. This is the sound of then, now and time to come.
I converted almost full EZDrummer official MIDI Library and additional libraries for Addictive Drums 2. I renamed all MIDI files according to Addictive Drums’ grouping style and you can select “beats” or “fills”. Zip file contains 100k+ midi drum files from EZDrummer and EZDrummer.AD2Map mapping file for AD2. If you will change the folder’s name (currently EZDrummer), you must change AD2Map’s name to folder’s name.
