Samplings of the most beautiful thumb piano we’ve ever heard. The library’s centre-patch is a hyper-sensitive emotional pianissimo thumb-piano. Our deeply sampled Fingerimba includes an intimately recorded sansula and a tickling home assembled kalimba with tines mounted on a piano resonating plate. We opted to record the instruments at a comfortably-soft dynamic, which we felt produced the warmest notes. Fingerimba is simple to look at, easy to play, and with advanced options available behind every control.

‘World Series: Gadulka Strings’ is the latest in this series of packs that feature compositions from all over the world, performed using rare and unique instruments. This pack contains high quality recordings of Gadulka, suitable for film, advertisements and music productions. These traditional compositions were performed by a professional Gadulka player and recorded using Schoeps CMC 6 phantom powered amplifier and Colette Modular Capsule from two different positions. The Gadulka is a traditional Bulgarian bowed string instrument. It has three (occasionally four or five) main strings with up to sixteen sympathetic resonating strings. Only the main melodic strings are touched by the player’s fingers and the strings are never pressed all the way down to touch the neck. The instrument is held vertically, with the bow held perpendicular in an under-hand hold. A possible origin of the Gadulka may be the Crete Lira (Crete Island), Calabrian Lira (Italy) or the Kemenche strings (Turkey).

I needed a fat synthesizer that could compete with loud guitar amplifiers and sound better than distorted guitar sounds. So I built the memorymoon. Memorymoon has 6 voicecards with 3 oscillators. You can set drift values for osc1 tuning, osc2 tuning, pulse-width, filter cutoff and VCA level to emulate the variations between voice cards in analog synthsizers. Osc1 has a drift button to do LFO drift. Unison will make a single note play from 1-6 voicecards at the same time. The sound is very overdriven. Mixer levels over 50 will create distortion in all oscillators. Filter2 has multiple stages of distortion and filter2 level knob will set the overdrive gain. Filter2 has built in +/- 5% variations to emulate analog components. The distortion effect at output can be inserted at output stage, or before the filter. It is a live-instrument. Arpeggiator, osc3, LFO and delay can be synced to host clock, or you can set tempo to manual and tap the synced tempo with a button (CC97), tap with the sustain pedal, or use the tempo knob.
