This EZX features mix-ready sounds tailored for bright, metallic and progressive hard rock and metal. It was designed to offer a polarizing sound ideal to its sibling, the Duality I EZX. Both EZXs were recorded by engineer Jakob Herrmann (Evergrey, Raised Fist, Amaranthe) and drummer Alex Landenburg (Kamelot, Cyhra, Mekong Delta) during the same session at Top Floor Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden. Duality II EZX includes one full kit as well as a total of six bass drums, eight snares and a staggering range of cymbals. In addition to the sounds, this EZX also includes a custom MIDI library as well as a collection of presets engineered to provide different takes on the core kit along with creative hybrids constructed using the large pool of additional kicks, snares and cymbal content.

Goth, the offshoot of post-punk that paved the way for not only fashion, literature and film but also an entire sub-culture, truly defined an era. Spearheaded by the likes of The Cult, Type O Negative, The Sisters of Mercy and many more, goth and its aesthetics went from underground to mainstream and threw a cloak of horror-esque romanticism over the ‘80s and ‘90s. Since, it of course splintered off into numerous subsets and made its way into all kinds of styles during the decades to follow. Still to this day, goth is very much alive and thriving. This collection of EZkeys MIDI was inspired by not only the obvious poster bands of the heydays but also the trailblazing acts that got the ball rolling long before the word goth was even uttered. EZkeys MIDI inspired by modern electronic dance music. This collection of EZkeys MIDI features 20 individual “songs” inspired by a wealth of modern and hook-heavy electronic dance music where the keys, naturally, have a dominant role. Each song was broken down in three separate ‘Chords,’ ‘Melody’ and ‘Arpeggio’ sections with subfolders for a selection of ‘Breakdown/Buildup’ or ‘Drop’ parts in each song. This will allow you to drag, drop, mix, match, tweak, slice, dice and assign different sound sources to the parts to create your own sonic textures in your DAW. With these three layers of melodic MIDI magic, you’ll have an ever-flowing well of raw material to base your yet unwritten house, techno, modern pop and electronic hook-driven songs around.
